Digital images are usually rectangles, but such rectangular boxes may contain "actual" image with arbitrary boundary. This article discusses a generic algorithm for finding largest rectangle that can still fit within the boundaries. Examples of such non-rectangular images are digital panoramas, projected images, scans and old photographs.
